Abstract:

Iran is not a rogue state. It is concerned, more than one gives it credit, with its position in the international community, and by how it is perceived by great powers. This is one of the fundamental motivations behind its nuclear program, and as such an important one to take into consideration when debating the possible efficiency of sanctions against Iran.
